UD and multiaxial Non-Crimp Fabrics (NCF)
Non-crimp fabrics are textile structures with fibres laid next to each other, which are fixed in their position by a sewing thread. Laying several layers of fibres on top of each other at different angles creates reinforcing materials with a fibre orientation that is suitable for the load. Due to the stretched fibres, non-crimp fabrics can absorb higher loads than woven fabrics.
