Rovings
Rovings are bundles of many thousands of filaments that are held together by a binder (sizing). Depending on the number of individual filaments, rovings are produced with different yarn counts, which are specified in tex (tex = g / 1000 metres).
The sizing influences cutability, impregnation speed and compatibility with the various matrix systems.
