Carbon fibre nonwovens can be used in a variety of ways: Fine nonwovens improve surface properties and increase electrical conductivity. Nonwovens made from recycled fibres can also be used for structural functional components, as a core layer or in monolithic laminates. Major advantages are the isotropic structure and excellent mechanical machinability, for example when milling.
