Energy

A fresh breeze with new fibres

Composites have long been helping to make energy generation more efficient and cost-effective.

Their use in the nacelles and rotor blades of wind turbines are just two examples, albeit these are particularly good examples. Wind turbines are technically extremely demanding and can only be designed so that they operate at optimum efficiency by implementing innovative construction methods. For example, requirements include static load-bearing capacity in extreme situations and operational stability over a service life of 20 years or more.

HALARIT Composites supplies products made of glass fibre and carbon fibre as well as epoxy resin systems and prepregs.
